Today, the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) operates as a state-wide service within Queensland Health, and is accountable for the delivery of pre-hospital ambulance response services, emergency and non-emergency pre-hospital patient care and transport services, inter-facility ambulance transport, casualty room services, and planning and coordination of multi-casualty incidents and disasters. She was the only female medical graduate from the University of Adelaide University in 1919, completed post graduate studies in London and a course in public health at the University of Sydney.
